Here are four tips for
your child to use to fight against bullies.

What can you do?

•Speak up against bullying. Say something like, “stop it!”

•Walk away. Never show the bully that what they said or did hurt you. Look confident.

•Tell an adult you trust. They may have ideas about what you can do.

•Stick together. Staying with a group might help.

Things to remember...

•You are not alone.

•It is not your fault. Nobody should be bullied!

•Talk to someone you trust.

•Do not hurt yourself.

•Do not bully anyone else.

•Do not let the bully win. Keep doing what you love to do.

Orange County Kung Fu

Orange County Kung Fu offers powerful and effective self-defense and fitness skills to men, women and children of all ages.

An affiliate of The Dragon Institute, our associations have a reputation for teaching high quality, authentic Wing Chun Kung Fu.

Orange County Kung Fu was established in California, USA in order to educate, inspire and empower the local community through the amazing benefits of Wing Chun Kung Fu as taught under the guidance of The Dragon Institute and its leadership.

The training program, Dragon Family Wing Chun Kung Fu, as taught and developed under the direction of The Dragon Institute and its lineage of masters is unique to the Orange County Kung Fu and its affiliates.

This program places realistic self-defense skills within the reach of anybody from their very first lesson because there is no element of brute strength involved.

Through the improvement of body structure, co-ordination of movements and mind-body control, students are taught to develop Wing Chun's unlimited potential. For more information, visit http://www.internationalwingchunday.blogspot.com.

Wing Chun (also romanized as Ving Tsun or "Wing Tsun" is a concept-based Chinese martial art and form of self-defense utilizing both striking and grappling while specializing in close-range combat.

The main objective of Wing Chun is to be a realistic system of self-defense. Wing Chun does not focus on fighting “techniques”, instead relying on fighting and energy principles to be followed at all times. The central idea is that, under pressure, it is impossible to visually recognize the precise direction and speed of an attack and make a conscious decision on an effective way in which to react, all within the very brief amount of time you have before your opponent's attack lands. Rather, one must (counter) attack immediately in a very direct and protected manner and rely on reflexes to determine how to react if the opponent's attack continues to pose a problem. Chi sao, or “sticking hands” trains students to respond reflexively to the speed, force, and direction of an attack, based on tactile information - which the human brain processes much faster than visual information.

Wing Chun is considered by many experts to be one of the most effective self defense systems in the world. It has been taught and integrated into the training programs of hundreds of military & law enforcement agencies around the world such as the US Navy Seals, the FBI, CIA, the French RAID, German SEK units.

But there's more - Wing Chun goes beyond fighting. It encompasses the full mind, body & spirit of martial arts. Wing Chun can easily influence every aspect of your life. The concepts and philosophies found through Wing Chun training bring about a new way of looking at life's challenges. They help you to deal with situations in whole new way - things you don't usually find in other activities.

Kung Fu in Orange County

<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; The Dana Point martial arts school is proud to represent the Yip Man (aka Ip Man) method of Wing Chun Kung Fu as passed down by his senior-most student in Hong Kong, Leung Sheung. Yip Man is the celebrated kung fu teacher of Bruce Lee. Several kung fu movies have been made about Yip Man including the 2008 Hong Kong blockbuster titled Ip Man and the 2010 sequel Ip Man 2.

For adults, The Dragon Institute will offer the full spectrum of mind and body self-growth. Adult classes will not only be a fun way to get in shape, but also the advantages of stress-relieving meditation, a whole new way to look at life’s challenges, applied practical science – all in a system of self-defense considered by many experts to be one of today's most effective methods.

For kids, ages 4 and up, The Dragon Institute goes way beyond teaching children how to defend themselves. It is, in every sense, a leadership development program that teaches life-lessons and character development for making the right decisions now... and in the future. The benefits are numerous, including a reward system that improves children’s self-esteem, a class structure that teaches discipline, activities to channel aggression, confidence-building skills and lifetime self-defense skills.

WING CHUN KUNG FU
Wing Chun is considered by many experts to be one of the most effective self defense systems in the world. A highly efficient combat-tested system of self defense, fighting skills and defensive tactics, Wing Chun emphasizes aggressive, direct/scientific movement and realistic training. It has been taught and integrated into the training programs of hundreds of military & law enforcement agencies around the world such as the US Navy Seals, the FBI, CIA, the French RAID, German SEK units.

Unlike more classical martial arts, Wing Chun is not a style. It is neither fixed nor rigid. Instead it is a fluid and free process of intelligent fighting. It has no flashy movements. It's combat goal is to finish a fight as quickly as possible. Wing Chun has a philosophy based on simplicity, directness and practicality. It uses physics to determine the best way to move and defend oneself.

For more information, visit www.ockungfu.com.

----------
Orange County Wing Chun Kung Fu School Opens

Kung Fu School Opens in Orange County

The Dragon Institute, Orange County's first Wing Chun Kung Fu institution, opens right on Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point, CA. We use kung fu as the developmental gateway to an integrated approach to healthy living for the mind, body and soul.”

ABOUT WING CHUN KUNG FU
Wing Chun Kung Fu is considered by many experts to be one of the most effective self defense systems in the world. A highly efficient combat-tested system of kung fu, fighting skills and defensive tactics, Wing Chun Kung Fu emphasizes aggressive, direct/scientific movement and realistic training. It has been taught and integrated into the training programs of hundreds of military & law enforcement agencies around the world such as the US Navy Seals, the FBI, CIA, the French RAID, German SEK units.

Unlike more classical martial arts or kung fu systems, Wing Chun is not a style. It is neither fixed nor rigid. Instead it is a fluid and free process of intelligent fighting. It has no flashy movements. Its combat goal is to finish a fight as quickly as possible. Wing Chun Kung Fu has a philosophy based on simplicity, directness and practicality. It uses physics to determine the best way to move and defend oneself.

Kung Fu is translated as skill developed through hard work. In essence, it means reaching for extraordinary potential through self-discipline. Mastering Kung Fu is one of the hardest things to do yet one of life's most rewarding.

Located at 34241 Pacific Coast Highway #105 in Dana Point, CA, The Dragon Institute’s Kung Fu Program carries with it full international accreditation. Recognized and certified by several top world kung fu organizations, the institute will bring to light centuries of kung fu knowledge once held in secret by underground Chinese rebels. The Dragon Institute is proud to be Orange County's representative of the Yip Man (aka Ip Man) method of Wing Chun Kung Fu as passed down by his senior-most kung fu student in Hong Kong, Leung Sheung. Yip Man is the celebrated kung fu teacher of Bruce Lee and is credited with being the Grandmaster of Wing Chun Kung Fu. Several kung fu movies have been made about Yip Man including the 2008 Hong Kong blockbuster titled Ip Man and the 2010 sequel Ip Man 2.

For more information, visit the official web site of The Dragon Institute at www.ockungfu.com.

----------
Orange County Wing Chun Kung Fu School Opens

Kung Fu Demo - Orange County, CA

Presented by the adult students of The Dragon Institute kung fu school in Orange County, a Kung Fu Demonstration will take place in Dana Point on Saturday, March 20th, 2010. Lee believed that in order for an opponent to attack someone they had to move towards them. This provided an opportunity to "intercept" that attack or movement. The principle of interception covers more than just intercepting physical attacks. Lee believed that many non-verbals and telegraphs (subtle movements that an opponent is unaware of) could be perceived or "intercepted" and thus be used to one's advantage. Stop hits, stop kicks and simultaneous parrying and punching are some of the defensive portions of our kung fu in Orange County.

Located right on Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point, The Dragon Institute is Orange County's first professional facility dedicated to the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu.

Feel free to visit our main site at http://www.ocwingchun.com

Orange County Kung Fu

Orange County Kung Fu

Welcome to Orange County Kung Fu! I wasn't sure that I'd find anything with all of these things and was scared that I'd have to settle for something else. However, I was thrilled to find Orange County Kung Fu. I couldn't recommend this place higher!
