Building on the natural benefits of martial arts for children, our local program at The Dragon Institute is a leadership development and character education system for youth - children and teens ages 4-15.
We've designed our program to teach and reinforce core ethical values that transcend religious, political and socioeconomic differences.
All students are encouraged to work with each other and share their knowledge and skills with students who need help. This gives each student and awareness of their own self worth and increases their self confidence. This transcends our school and manifests itself into daily life, enabling each student to be a leader and not a follower.
Values such as: Respect, Focus, Honesty, Integrity, Good Sportsmanship, Good Grades, and Proper Behavior are the foundation of our classes.
Age Appropriate Teaching Method: Aside from constant verbal praise, our school incorporates a reward system (sashes and stripes) to reward and reinforce the students best efforts.

Classes are both humbling and empowering for children. Our purpose is not to create competition between the students, but rather provide and environment that encourages children to reach their own, personal, potential.
